Our next stop is the Niederhorn, in the middle of the marvellous mountain panorama. By bus we cruise the unspoiled, traditional landscape of the Berner Oberland. At the foot of the Niederhorn mountain, we take the funicular railway, continuing the way up by cable car. At the summit, the world famous alpine panorama is waiting for us with the mighty trio of Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau and the dark blue lakes in the valleys. The day is completed with an individual visit or coffee break in the beautiful mountain town Thun. After that, we return to Solothurn by bus.

Welcome evening

Waldegg Castle As one of the many aristocratic country estates in Solothurn, it's however the most representative and spacious. Two precious tree-lined alleys lead to the elevated location of the castle with its baroque gardens. French and italian stilistic elements communicate with the rigid architecture of a Solothurn «Türmlihaus». After a short guided tour and a greeting from the Kanton Government Solothurn, we enjoy an Apéro at Waldegg Castle. At the Training Center Wallierhof, we have a night dinner, supplemented with an insight into education and extension work of the agricultural college. Transport from Solothurn and back is included.

Social evening

The concert hall is located in the northern green belt of Solothurn. Built at the end of the 19th century, it offers an outstanding acoustic for music and spoken performances. The building was drafted by the Swiss architect Alexander Koch in 1896, using the Landesmuseum Zürich as a model. The local architectural style had a marked effect on the appearance of the building. After its completion, the concert hall became one of the two cultural hotspots of Solothurn together with the art museum.

Good food and company, a historic ceremonial hall and enchanting music – perfect ingredients for an unforgetful social evening! We are looking forward to this convivial festivity.
